  • 1 Direction picked up their fanbase instantly through the tv show compared to Artic Monkeys who had to slowly work they way there. AM relied on luck.

  • After coming 3rd on the X factor they signed with Syco-records and later with Columbia Records.

  • History tells the story of One Direction and how they made their way to success. It is a narrative music video as it tells a story.
